Daisy came under our care in the Heart Adoption program while she was still in elementary school.
She was older than her classmates because she had taken breaks from school and did not attend regularly due to a lack of funds—her family could not afford to buy her a uniform, shoes, books, or notebooks. These supplies are necessary for a student to be admitted to class, even in a public school.
Unfortunately, the father of the family lost his job in the national park (as a result of job cuts) and since then the family has been struggling with serious financial problems, as they can only find odd jobs.
On the left, we see Daisy during classes at the university in Nairobi.
It is a great honor for me to complete my higher education this year. I know that it was not easy to make this possible with global inflation, the pandemic, and war close to Poland, so I cannot thank my donors enough for making it all possible. I simply pray that God will remember them in all their endeavors.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish the Foundation, my donors, and their families a wonderful Christmas.
Daisy, nursing graduate, December 20, 2024
She was born on July 30, but December 20 will also be a special date for her, one she will remember for the rest of her life. On that day, she formally became a nurse and began living on her own terms. She sent us a message saying that she is overjoyed, along with a few additional words.
On behalf of the Foundation, Daisy’s family, and Daisy herself, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Klaudia, Ms. Magdalena, Ms. Zofia, Ms. Aleksandra, and in particular
Ms. Wioletta, Mr. Michał, and Mr. Radosław, thanks to whom her education and graduation became possible.
