In Nakuru, in the heart of Kenya, there is an extraordinary children’s home that gives love and hope to 15 children, including several with severe disabilities. It is a place created from the heart and for the heart – run by Regina and supported by our Foundation Mają Przyszłość for many years.
Today, this home – and the entire local community – needs a car. But not just any means of transportation. They need a Land Cruiser or a large van that will become:
>> a lifeline for children with disabilities such as hydrocephalus, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and autism—so they can safely reach treatment and rehabilitation facilities,
>> a tool for work and self-sufficiency – because the vehicle will help with everyday shopping, transporting crops, reaching remote locations, and will also serve as a means of transport for earning a living.
>> mobile support for the entire community – because from April 3, 2025, doctors, therapists, and specialists from the state hospital in Nakuru began visiting the center once a week to help children with the above conditions – during their first visit, they took care of 17 families!
The medical team from Nakuru declares that if the number of people in need increases
– they are ready to come twice a week!
The car will also allow for the expansion of activities to include “outreach”, which means travelling to and treating children from nearby villages who cannot reach Nakuru. This would mean physiotherapy in the form of regular visits.
But without a larger car, it is impossible to drive the children to their destination, pick them up from home, and return safely. Today, a car isn’t a dream – it is an absolute necessity.
We need around 4.5 million KSH (about 130,000–140,000 PLN) to buy a used but functional Land Cruiser or a large van capable of transporting people and luggage (e.g., with a roof rack). It must have 4×4 drive due to the rainy season, when Kenya’s gravel roads become impassable.
This car will serve:
✅ children from the center,
✅ families in the area covered by the assistance program,
✅ the medics and therapists, who come to help for free,
✅ the daily needs of the children’s home – shopping, logistics, maintenance.
These kids don’t ask for much – they just want a chance. A chance for treatment, for education, for a better tomorrow.
