One of her biggest dreams is to learn a trade—to learn how to sew—not only for herself, but also to support her family and community. Unfortunately, the lack of access to basic tools, such as a sewing machine, presents her with a barrier that she cannot overcome on her own. The cost of a sewing machine is relatively high for a young person.
Lydie was very lucky that her Adoptive Parent decided to go beyond the scope of the program and sponsored two sewing machines. One of them went to their ward, and the other will be given to another student in need.
