A few days ago, Tomek set off into the unknown. He visited a country in the Global South for the first time and spent his first moments getting acquainted with a completely different culture and mentality while exploring Kathmandu, the surrounding villages, and trekking in the Nepalese mountains.
As of today, he is staying with our coordinator and, together with Menuka, will prepare materials about our charges for their adoptive parents.
At the same time, he will see our kung fu classes, kitchens, and the common room that the children visit after school. We will try to find some nice souvenirs and thank-you gifts at the local bazaars.
We have almost two weeks of hard work ahead of us, and the results will be available soon – we hope that they will reach the adoptive parents before the end of the year.
Sanchit and the other children quickly became interested in Tomek’s backpack, which contained some gifts sent to the Foundation by donors, including pencil cases, coloring books, backpacks, and shoes. Agnieszka dropped off all the gifts to Tomek at the train station in Poznań.
Have a great trip, Tomek, and thank you so much for combining your private trip with activities for us! Have a safe journey home!
